 baby beluga and boo boo
i would love to introduce you to my fantastic brother, boo boo.
i have called him boo boo since he was a little baby… everyone else calls him by his normal name, but to me, he is always my little baby brother boo boo.
this is boo boo with his wife, baby beluga, who is the most wonderful sister-in-law to me. he made a good choice.
boo boo is a kind person. he goes out of his way to make people happy. i appreciate the way he calls me during his breaks at work when he walks.
when he was very small, we thought he was definitely headed for the priesthood. he just loved, loved, loved to go to church and pray.
he still likes church, but as you can see, he decided not to be a priest.
baby beluga, p.t. & boo boo at the wedding!
he is a great bowler and is also a master champion at video games.
mostly, he is a master champion at being sweet.
he will always be my boo boo.

tuesday 7.26.11
sometimes i forget this.
sometimes i automatically think the worst of others when i feel disappointed, even if that person is a stranger to me.
i have to remember that the world is not perfect, i am not perfect, and that life is not perfect all of the time.
and that kindness really does matter.
people are going through things that we may know nothing about…
i want to thank anyone who has ever shown me kindness…
you were wonderful to do so
and i hope that i can repay you by showing kindess to others.

 true.
lately i have been concentrating on just being while…
walking my dogs
playing with my cat
spending time with td
reading scripture
appreciating my family
actively seeking inner peace
being.
and it is all good.
wishing you a wonderful day of just being.
hope you enjoy it.

well, marmie certainly loves having a doggie brother and sister.

she just wants to be part of the family.

bayou and bella act like they are just putting up with her, but i know they really love her.
now, if only she would stop eating plastic….

tuesday 6.28.11
i did not post yet about Bita Day.
of course, we went again this year to Abita Springs to celebrate my Bita Girl.
this time, however, we brought along bayou and bella.

i felt at first like i was showing disrespect to bita because we were bringing two other dogs to the celebration that was meant for just her. but then i realized that bita would want us to share the joy. and then it was just fine.

i love you, bita.
run free and happy.

… and we will meet again…

mommy

happy birthday, p.t. !
i wish for you, my wonderful brother, a day lifetime of happiness…
remember, live the width of your life, not just the length of it.
the birthday boy with his baby, lola!
love you bunches…
your sister.

here is my wonderful brother who i call the fisherman.
have you seen that bumper sticker that says: women want me & fish fear me ?
well, that applies to my brother. i know, i know… i am so biased.
this brother of mine has such a great sense of humor. one thing is also for sure… he is one of the most generous people i know. it is kind of funny, too, because at the same time he is one of the most frugal people i know.
the fisherman and martha stewart... what a pair!
here he is with his wife, who i will introduce to you later as martha stewart. and later i will also introduce you to the little girl that they made together… and did not do that badly, either, i might add!
as is so often found nowadays in many families, we do not get to talk to each other as much as we would like to, that is for sure. work schedules, day-to-day responsibilities, and life in general keep us busy. and even though we don’t talk or see each other all the time, there is always a place in my heart for my beautiful, wonderful brother. just like old friends, when we finally do get to talk, we pick up right where we left off as if no time had passed.
do you live far from family and wish you could see them more often?
wishing you a wonderful day, dear friends.
xoxo,
terry

i have been blessed with four wonderful brothers, all very different from each other. they each bring their own special gift into our family. and they know how much their sister loves them.
this is nature boy.
happy at a family get together!
by now, i guess you can tell that i am using nicknames for my family members. just keeping it safe for “security” reasons.
anywho, this is nature boy. my oldest brother. he is nature boy because since he was a small child he has always been so in tune with the entire environment from animals to plants.
he is also a great artist. i think that he takes after dad in that respect.
one thing that i love about my brother is that he calls me every single sunday at 7 pm. yes, i mean every sunday.
he loves picnics and feeding the birds. he also loves to go fishing and is a great fisherman, much like another brother of mine you will be meeting. nature boy goes on long walks and notices the way the wind blows in the trees. i love hearing about his walks. he is very good at his job and i am proud of him.
 at the aquarium!
thank you for being a wonderful brother. xoxo

this is princess. she is our daughter who is all grown up now with a family of her own.
 princess and pumpkin 2007
my, where has all the time gone?
she is a fashionista, but i have pictures from her not-so-in-style days. i could use them to bribe her. but i won’t. she cringes at one in particular: can you say school picture with a baggy sweatshirt with LEVIs scrawled acros it? ha ha! i love, love, love to tease her with that!
well, let us just say she has more than made up for that fashion mistake. now she is the one laughing at what i wear!
speaking of making her cringe, her dad and i love to just say the word “goldschlager” to her. she will run away. yep, funny memories from our time in california with that one!
taco bell owes their success to princess. i think she has been to just about every one of them!
she has always been a very hard worker and has tremendous work ethic. all parents are proud of their children and we are no exception. she has made a beautiful family with her hubby the rubster, her little boy pumpkin and her little girl sugarplum.
and she can do a split. i have always been jealous of really limber people.
and that girl can s-l-e-e-p!! or, at least she used to be able to sleep. that was before she had kids. that’s funny!
we love our princess. maybe we don’t talk as much as we should or could, but i hope she knows that we always think of her and want her to be blessed.
 princess with her daddy
please tell me about your own prince or princess.

i cannot introduce my parents separately since i always think of them together.
this is my mom and dad. i cannot put into words how much i respect my parents.
at mom's indoor picnic for mother's day 2008
they have been married for 43 years. and very happily, i might add.
dad is a computer genius. i am also proud of my dad having served our country in the military.
dad is very easy-going. everyone loves him. he is active in church and in charitable organizations. i love it when i visit and each evening dad and i have a glass of wine together. and especially when we get to play the game phase ten. and when we sing “let there be peace on earth” in church dad gets very happy.
one quirky thing about my dad is that he likes to collect lawn mowers. working or not.
td says that i take after my dad. that is a big compliment.
mom is the best cook ever! she can whip up a gourmet meal in no time. she makes treats for td and she tells me not to touch the treats because they are only for him. and he teases me.
mom is very friendly and can strike up a conversation with anyone. she is so funny when she tells jokes. not that the jokes are very funny… it is just that she can’t seem to get through the joke to the punch line before she starts laughing and forgeting what the joke is about.
if you are ever a contestant on american idol, you need to make sure that my mom likes you. because if that is the case, you are a slam-dunk winner. she will vote until the cows come home. i remember one season when jordin was the winner mom voted over 600 times one night. when she likes someone, she likes them! yes, i know that carrie underwood is talented and all that, but something inside tells me that mom helped pave the way.
and i have yet to find someone that loves the late princess diana the way mom loves her. maybe that is one of the reasons mom loves her tea.
growing up i was the oldest and the only girl. i have four younger brothers. i admit; there were times growing up that i wish my parents had been “easier” on me. i always thought they were very strict with me. well, now i thank them for raising me the way they did.
thank you, mom and dad, for everything.
i love you mom and dad.
